About the Market

Bethesda Central Farm Market was created to provide Bethesda, Chevy Chase, Upper North West DC, and Potomac with a complete farm shopping experience. Both Mitch and Ann were looking for “the place” were they could do their weekly food shopping in one location with high quality farm fresh produce, meats, poultry, cheeses, bread, prepared products, seafood, baked goods, and more, easy free parking, without hassle and frustration.

Since that place did not exist anywhere close by they decided to open their own site. “We believe we have created a wonderful shopping and gathering experience for the community by bringing together an amazing group of farmers and producers. Our goal is to grow into a pivotal place in the neighborhood that provides sustainable food, supports the environment, and gives back to the community by helping the hungry.” With their combined professional food background Bethesda Central Farm Market was a natural outcome.

THE MISSION OF BCFM IS TO:

1. SUPPORT OUR FARMERS AND PRODUCERS BY PROVIDING A PROFFESIONALLY RUN AND WELCOMING MARKET TO SELL THEIR PRODUCTS DIRECTLY TO CONSUMERS.
2. TO PROVIDE OUR CUSTOMERS WITH A FRIENDLY RESOURCE TO PURCHASE THE HIGHEST QUALITY FOOD PRODUCTS AND IMPORTANT SERVICES.
3. TO SUPPORT THE ENVIRONMENT BY OFFERING SUSTAINABLE AND/OR ORGANIC FARM GOODS GROWN LOCALLY.
4. TO GIVE BACK TO THE COMMUNITY WITH ACTIVITIES THAT ENRICH LIFE AND SUPPORT EDUCATION, NUTRITION, AND FIGHT HUNGER.
